Update a marriage biodata when the facts change
A job, a city, or a degree changed after the PDF went out. Send one new file, tell the people who still hold the old one, and stop explaining the difference in a voice note.
The PDF still named a firm in Pune the candidate had already left. An aunt forwarded that file on a Sunday evening, and the other family opened the phone call with the old company. The first part of the call was a correction that belonged on the page. A voice note cannot travel with the file once a cousin forwards it again.
Update a marriage biodata when a checkable fact is no longer true. Keep one current PDF. The plan for who owns that file, before anything goes out, is in wedding planning at home. This page is what to do after the facts move.
When should you replace a marriage biodata that is already circulating?
Replace it when a fact a stranger could check is no longer true. A new job, a new city, a finished degree, a change in marital status, or a birth time your own priest has corrected on paper. A new hobby is not a reason to send a fresh file to every relative.
A typo in the name is a reason. Two spellings in two PDFs look like two people. A missing comma in a hobby line can wait until the next real change. If the only copy anyone has is already correct, do not send a second file just to look busy.
Who sends the new file?
One person, the same owner as the last PDF. The candidate reads the work and study lines before the file goes out. Parents do not silently rewrite those sentences. Everyone else forwards that file, not a screenshot saved from an old chat.
Open the biodata on the phone or computer where it was made, change the line, and export a new PDF. The page stays on that device. If that browser data is gone, fill the page again from what the family can stand by. Do not type over a photo of the old PDF. Start from the biodata maker if you need a clean file.
What do you change, and what do you leave?
Change the line that is wrong, and leave the rest. Do not add annual income, a street address, or a wedding date to make the new page look more serious. If the birth time changes, copy it from the paper your priest wrote or from the record kept at home. Do not guess a clock time to fill a box.
Field order is on the marriage biodata format page. A page that leads with education and work is the modern format. What belongs in each block is in how to write a marriage biodata. Inflated height, income, or horoscope is still a mistake on the new file. See common biodata mistakes.
How do you tell people who already hold the old PDF?
One sentence in the same chat: please use this PDF, the earlier file has an old job line, and do not forward that one. You cannot pull the old file off someone else's phone after they have saved it. Naming the current file is the practical fix.
Ten relatives do not need ten wordings. The owner sends the line. A second person does not add a different story in the same chat. Ready lines for a first share are in the WhatsApp message templates. This update needs fewer words than a first introduction.
What if two versions are already in the family group?
Send the new PDF once, in that group, and say which file is finished. Do not let a second relative add a third copy the same evening. One owner, one message. If a private chat still has only the old file, send the new one there too, with the same sentence.
Leave the old attachment where it is. A long voice note that contradicts the page will be forwarded without the note. The page has to be true on its own.
What stays off the updated page?
The same lines that stayed off the first one. No dowry, jewellery, or cash. City and native place, not a street address. No sentence that says the kundali matches. A priest can look at charts later, if your house does that, after both families want to continue.
When the new PDF is the one you would read aloud, send it. If you are starting over, make the biodata here. One page, the current facts, and a single file name people can recognise as the latest.
